Look forward to catching up next week.

The first interesting note was a scripture I found: “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good” (Romans 12:21). Wow, there it is in scripture–overcome evil or be overcome by evil. I found this incredibly encouraging!

Secondly, I had a very vivid dream this morning: My family and I were on some island with hotels right on the beach. There were these tall hotel buildings, and it was some sort of a man-made resort area. The islands, the beaches, even the water in the bay were all man-made. I was in this basement of one of these hotels, and all of sudden, I was underwater. My family got out quickly, but I swam to the exit and there was something blocking it, some wooden grid or something. I pushed and it didn’t move. I knocked to get someone’s attention, and an old lady came up and said, “Just be patient. Help is on the way.” So, I waited a few seconds, but I was underwater holding my breath. She even said something like “Don’t panic, just slow your breathing”. That was unacceptable. I was going to die if I didn’t do anything. I know I didn’t have enough time to hold my breath, so I positioned my knee underneath the wooden barrier and leveraged my weight and slowly pushed the barrier out of the way myself. The lady was totally surprised. “How did you do that?” Well, I had to get out or drown. After getting out, I went outside and my family was walking on the sidewalk, and I was able to join them.

I think that dream is simply a visual confirmation of overcome or be overcome.
